Research & Development
The FORGES TARDIEU R&D Department is staffed with engineers responsible for directly developing new mechanical engineered products as well as industrial technologists and specialists who are tasked with applied research in specific technological fields, in view of facilitating future mechanical engineered product and process developments. Both aims and objectives are targeted towards the sugar as well as the oil and gas industries at large (mill houses, back end/front end, refineries, onshore and near-shore oil and gas terminals, co-generation units, etc.).
This department is of strategic importance to the future development of the FORGES TARDIEU engineering group activities. In the recent past, it has developed a series of new sugar production-related equipment such as patented Vertical Massecuite Reheaters (VMR), in-line heavy-duty Long Stick Shredders (LSS), heavy-duty Automated Core Samplers (ACS), etc.
Leveraging extensive experience and knowledge in the design, manufacture and supply of equipment to the sugar and the oil and gas industries among others, altogether are the objectives of the team of skilled experts of the FORGES TARDIEU Engineering Consultancy division. We aim at providing a unique engineering consultancy platform for a broad range of requirements in Mauritius and beyond and constantly strive to recommend and develop the most suited solutions to different industry sectors, including green and brown field projects. Our overarching objective is to improve performance, energy efficiency and return on investment for our clients.
The FORGES TARDIEU Design Office has years of hands-on technical knowledge in manufacturing and working closely with selected experts in the field. We have developed a design-and-build powerhouse, exporting our equipment and services throughout Africa. Thanks to state-of-the-art design tools and techniques such as 3D laser technology, we can produce highly detailed up-to-scale models of proposed projects. Our design philosophy is to be projects and processes caretakers and integrators at the service of the industry.
